Marian spent 20 years as an amateur golfer. Like most she had no plan to work towards her potential. She mostly tried to correct her errors. Since this was the pre-video era, identifying the underlying source of swing problems was difficult. Marian sought golf lessons with a my-swing-needs-fixing mentality. Usually the prescribed fixes worked but only temporarily. Sometimes after attending a lesson or golf school, new problematic issues arose. Scores would be very good but then very horrible. She experienced little consistency from round to round.

On her own she discovered a body-golf swing connection. She leveraged her education and fitness background to better her game by improving her swing mechanics via improved posture and increased mobility and stability. She was accepted into the LPGA in 1998.

Marian was very fortunate, early in her career, to have some amazing mentors. Both, Ms. Troy Beck (Glenn Dale Golf Club) and chiropractor, Dr. Greg Rose (now co-founder of the Titleist Performance Institute) were extremely generous with their knowledge and very instrumental in her professional development.

Over the past 28 years, she has worked with thousands of golfers discovering that a large number of golfers view lessons as fix-it-sessions. In fact many wait until their game is broken to get professional help. Marian understands because she used to do that too!

However, there’s a better, more reliable, common-sense approach. Marian helps golfers define what they want from the game — their “why”. After assessing their current status, she offers feedback. Together they discuss and pinpoint the most fundamental/weakest link in current performance. This gets addressed first. Using this strategy, steady improvement and greater satisfaction follows.
